All cats over the age of 6 months are castrated and tested for FELV and FIV, and they are also wormed and vaccinated.

Thank you for choosing to adopt a cat or kitten from Murcia, Spain — adoption truly gives rescued cats the second chance they deserve. Most of the cats are cared for at the pound, where you are welcome to visit and meet cats available for adoption. Some of the more vulnerable residents, especially young kittens needing extra care, live in loving foster homes across Murcia, including San Javier, Cartagena, Murcia City, Campoverde, and the Mar Menor area.

We are proud to help cats and kittens from Murcia, Spain find loving homes across Europe. Each year, adopters from the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands welcome our rescued cats into their families. With extensive experience in international cat adoption from Spain, we carefully support adopters every step of the way.
We can help with some of the paperwork and work closely with trusted, licensed pet transport companies to safely arrange your cat’s journey to their new home. Whether you are adopting locally or looking to adopt a rescue cat from Spain to another European country, we ensure the process is smooth, transparent, and focused on the welfare of each cat. Our aim is to make cross-border cat adoption as stress-free as possible, giving every cat the chance to start a safe, happy life—no matter where in Europe their forever home may be.
This involves the completion of an adoption questionnaire and providing photos of where the cat will be living.
A signed contract and payment of the adoption fee. This can range from €60 - €100 depending on the age of the cat, and any health concerns.
The UK can be £250 - £350 depending on location and can take around 3-5 days (weather and traffic depending). Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain etc. can be €40 - €100 depending on location. It may require a pick-up point from a nearby collection point.
Please note that Whisker Warriors do not receive any money from any adoptions. All money goes directly to the pound and transport. The volunteers donate their time and effort into making the adoption process as simple as possible.
